Hi there! Now that I've caught your attention with the photo of my hair idol, the beautiful Kate Beckinsale, I'd like to introduce to you a new topic for discussion; The quest for really great hair. Is this even possible? Well, if Hollywood has taught me anything, it's that you can have great hair even if it's pouring rain and you're fighting for your life (looking at you Total Recall remake!).
I started my quest when I was a wee teenager, not caring that I had the same dull dark hair as everyone else in my family. However as I got slightly older and became my own person, I realised that I didn't need to have the same hair as everyone else. There were so many options out there that I could literally do anything with my hair. Thus began my journey of hair realisation. Unfortunately, I was momentarily stalled by the strict dress code of my secondary school. So I did what I could get away with which wasn't much...

Your run of the mill unprocessed hair
It wasn't until college that I had dyed my hair for the first time. I decided to go with a basic light brown shade to test the waters and see how my hair reacts. It went a not unpleasant orange brown colour which I was fine with.

The colour then faded a little into a darker brown and I decided to add a fringe to it.
I was going for a tribal pocahontas look. I quite liked this look. The maintenance of the fringe though was hard core. It just wouldn't stay where I wanted it to (hence the mini braid) so I just grew it out.
My hair eventually went back to its starting position before I decided to give it another colour.

Now this almost blonde colour was the lightest that I could go without bleach. I was a little scared of bleach at the time so I just avoided it completely. I was happy with this hair colour for a while but such things were not meant to last. I was again bored and in search of something fresh and exciting. Tune in sometime later to see what I decided to do (dun dun dunnnnnnn).
